10  Celebrities Who Nailed Met Gala 2022

The Met Gala is back, bringing with it all of our favorite high fashion and celebrity attention-seeking. Why not, right? It’s not just fashion’s greatest night; it’s also the “look at me” prom.

However, some people nailed it from head to toe. Guilded Glamour was brought back to life in all of its magnificent glory. They were opulent, opulent, and opulent, and they kept us alive throughout the night. The following are ten celebrities who nailed the Guilded Glamour theme at the Met Gala 2022.

10. Quannah Chasinghorse in Atelier Prabal Gurung

The model and First Nations activist wore a magnificent turquoise and silver gown designed by Lenise Omeaso, an Amskapi Pikuni craftsman from the Blackfeet tribe in Montana, and embellished with traditional Indigenous jewelry designs symbolizing the elements of the earth. Not only is it a stunning appearance, but it also pays homage to American fashion in its purest form.

9. Jessica Chastain in Gucci

Jessica Chastain continued her red carpet winning streak at the Met Gala in an oxblood gown and matching headdress, all designed by Gucci. The gown harkened back to the golden age of Hollywood beauty. The silhouette of a silver snake hung over the shoulder on the top part of the all-over sequin dress, a popular symbol of the art deco era and one that has become a recurrent presence within the Gucci collections.

8. Kaia Gerber in Alexander McQueen

Kaia Gerber returned to the Met Gala steps in a slinky gown that brought “gilded splendor” to a new level. Gerber turned heads in an Alexander McQueen semi-sheer gown with cutaway accents along the bodice. Her ensemble included beaded fringe and floral embellishments. She completed the ensemble with simple accessories such as silver sandals, black nail varnish, and beaded hair barrettes.

7. Megan Thee Stallion in Moschino

It’s gilded glamour at its finest, yet it’s also goddess-like. The sheer cutouts don’t quite mesh with the rest of the design, but the elaborate bust trim and golden wing treatment on the shoulders do. She resembles a Gilded Age statue of a perfect female body.

6. Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton

The huge question hovering over the Met Gala this year for many Black attendees, designers, and stylists was how to interpret its Gilded Age themes. Cynthia’s red carpet style is typically dramatic and dazzling she nailed it this time—in a design that pays homage to Black ladies of the nineteenth century while also having a regal, high-society undertone that feels perfect.

5. Kacey Musgraves in Prada

Kacey managed to make both this year’s Gilded Age theme and this year’s camp theme references at the same time. This is cute and enjoyable, but it doesn’t look like a historical costume because it has all the correct references—bustle, opera gloves, enormous hair, and a fan.

4. Billie Eilish in Gucci

Billie Eilish, an American singer and songwriter, returned to the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2022 Met Gala’s red carpet with a silky corset gown, keeping with the theme of ‘Gilded Glamour.’ Billie Eilish looked stunning on the red carpet in a custom Gucci gown with a corset, seafoam green lace sleeves, and a cream train.

3. Gigi Hadid in Versace

Hadid donned Versace’s head-to-toe bright scarlet ensemble, which included pointy-toe stiletto heels and skintight slacks that led up to a structured bodice of the same material, with her waist squeezed into an even tighter corset. A billowing, magnificent coat completed the ensemble, albeit the name coat does not do credit to this specific garment.

2. Kim Kardashian in Vintage Jean-Louis

The reality personality and business mogul startled by arriving in a Jean-Louis gown that was inspired by a Bob Mackie drawing worn by Marilyn Monroe when she sang “Happy Birthday Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy. To coincide with the garment, Kim debuted a new Marilyn-blonde hairstyle. She is stunning.

1. Blake Lively in Atelier Versace and Ryan Reynolds in Ralph Lauren

One thing about Blake Lively is that when she gets something right, she really gets it right. She didn’t just show up in a Klimt-esque Versace gown with a bustle, opera gloves, and a tiara; she delivered a reveal and magically transformed herself, going from a bronze look to one designed to look like aged bronze. Ryan too looks attractive.
